This day has really had its ups and downs, and it's not even over yet. I've had enough drama for a life time! Maybe I should just go to sleep after work to be on the safe side..?
It started with sunshine and me saving a man's life and looks like it will end with icy cold rain and me saving myself.
I'll try to tell this "
real life hero" story without any exaggerations, which otherwise is my specialty. I saved him from getting if not killed, severely hurt.
Ok so I was about to start my usual morning walk to work. Had my earplugs pounding with really loud Mexican music (I'm getting prepared for what's to come.. I'll fill you in next week but you can take a guess at what I mean..)
Put on my zebra striped sunglasses and waited at the zebra crossing for the lights to switch. All of a sudden I have this guy standing next to me and something in his posture tells me that he's not feeling too well. I take a second glance at him and notice that he's high as a kite and completely unaware of his surroundings.
The cars pass before us at high speed and out of nowhere he takes two steps out on the street and before you had time to say HOLY SHIT I was pulling him back by his jacket and screaming at him as the cars swooshed by. It was just a reflex, but had I not reacted as fast that guy would definitely have been hit by a car and I -along several other spectators- would have witnessed a horrible accident.
My heart is racing as I think about it.
No point in scaring myself with thoughts of '
what if..', all is well that ends well. Feels good to have done a good deed. I just hope he made it through the day alright. He said thanks and stumbled away. Completely unaware of what could have happened.
At the shop it's been crazy busy all day, lots of sweet customers and international visitors. Now it's crazy boring because of the rainy weather. #hatesweden
Let's see it from the bright side: it gave me the time to tell you about my day! And what a day it was..
